Lets talk Uni! An Introduction
Firstly, thank you all for coming to my blog and reading my first post – I am very grateful! I am currently studying a business degree at the University of Strathclyde, specifically Marketing and HR.
Upon entering my third year of University (I know I cannot believe it either), many of my doubts and fears have become a distant memory. University is a whole new adventure (not to mention a whole different ball game) which can be very daunting and scary for future students. It is a unique experience for everyone and to be perfectly honest it is pretty difficult to understand unless you’ve experience it yourself. Nonetheless, throughout this blog, I’m going to do my best to make you feel at ease when tackling university.
If your anything like me, a Stressed Eric, the idea of university seems very overwhelming. Trying to find a perfect balance between coursework, friends and fitness seems impossible. However, I am here to inform you that it is not as hard as it seems. University is a challenging time, but I promise you, as soon as you get the grip of it, the whole idea of university becomes a walk in the park.
My advice - make your university experience as memorable as possible! Work hard, meet new people and have fun! We need to remember that even though university is important, living a balanced lifestyle is also important, especially for our mental health. It's important to stay connected, whether it be making time to see friends and family, or simply going to the gym. University is a time to grow as a person - don’t take it for granted! This way you will stay happy and motivated, and this is the art of being a student!
